A Barry Molloy double eased holders Derry City into the quarter-finals of the EA Sports Cup as they beat Finn Harps 4-0 at the Brandywell.
Molloy put Derry ahead on 37 minutes with Paddy McEleney and Mark Farren effectively ending the game as a contest with further goals in first half stoppage time.
Molloy added his second with a header on 86 minutes.
Cork City?s problems are mounting as Cian Collins, Sean Brosnan and David O?Leary got the goals to enable Limerick dump last year?s beaten finalist out at Jackman Park.
Gary McCabe scored two penalties as Shamrock Rovers went through with a 2-0 win at First Division SD Galway.
Sean O?Connor and Ian Daly scored as St. Patrick?s Athletic beat UCD 2-1 at Richmond Park - Chris Lyons replying for the Students.
Shelbourne finished with nine men, due to injuries to Lorcan Fitzgerald and Stephen Hurley, as they lost 2-1 after extra-time to Bray Wanderers at Tolka Park.
Shels? David Cassidy levelled Jonathan Kelty?s first half opener to force extra-time. But Sean Houston won it for Bray with a goal in the 113th minute.
Conor McMahon scored two own goals as Sligo Rovers beat Monaghan United 3-1 at the Showgrounds.
Defender McMahon turned a cross from Raffaele Cretaro past his own keeper Michael Schlingermann to gift Sligo a 24th minute lead.
Monaghan battled back and levelled ten minutes into the second half when Owen Hunphrey burst through to score with the help of a deflection.
The unfortunate McMahon then inadvertently restored Sligo?s lead 12 minutes later when turning a cross from Marty Owens into his own net.
Ross Gaynor eased Sligo?s passage with a third goal from a 79th minute free-kick.
